We may have started small with only a handful of designs, but in time, that was enough to catch the attention of what would eventually become our loyal following of fashionistas.

Not only that, but our selection has now expanded far beyond the 1920s flapper outfits and 1950s swing dresses we began with; these days, we’re regularly putting out new garments and accessories inspired by everything from Jazz Age dance halls to the eclectic couture of the ‘80s. The 1960s is also one of our main styles, featuring pencil skirts, Mod fashion, and Hippie style.


To this day, we’re constantly evolving to meet our customers’ needs, like when we debuted a line of retro swimwear so our fellow vintage fashion lovers could better express themselves at the beach.  We've also made huge strides by expanding our size range all the way up to 5XL and by boldly deciding to slash the prices of all our products by 50%. All of this was done to make Retro Stage’s unique 20th-century styles accessible to a much wider audience so more people can show off their personality through fun vintage outfits.

We once threw a huge 1920s-themed party in Paris, France, the world capital of fashion!

Our efforts to bring retro fashion back into the mainstream with events like these got us noticed by none other than Vogue China, who invited us to have a photoshoot to show off our gorgeous Jazz-Age dresses to their audience. We are so incredibly proud to have made it to this point and to be able to share our adoration for 20th-century aesthetics on such a large and exclusive platform.

Our dedicated designers get their inspiration from real photos of stylish vintage outfits, reimagining their favorite aspects from different pieces and combining them with modern elements to form initial concept sketches. These sketches are the foundation of every Retro Stage garment and a vital part of the production process. What’s more, because our team draws from so many sources to create their designs, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone in our collection.


Giving Back

One of our proudest achievements of all has been getting the opportunity to work with aspiring fashion designer Loralei Fisher, a young girl with autism who at just 6 years old began dazzling the world with her mind-blowing creations under the pseudonym Lori Coconut.

We partnered with Lori to take one of her groovy ‘60s-inspired designs from its pint-sized Barbie doll model to the real-life runway! This unique piece is available for purchase on our website, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Lori and her mother, as well as benefiting the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) to help people like Lori nationwide.
